3S Autumn Term 2020

Welcome 3S!

We have had a fantastic first term and well done to everyone for working hard and trying hard to be in school every day.

This term we look forward to workshops, another science week and lots of exciting learning. In English we will be writing Roman Myths inspired by traditional myths and descriptive poetry. In maths we have been learning place value of 3 digit numbers, measuring using L and ml, working hard on our 3 and 4 times tables and adding and subtracting.  In topic we have delved into the world of the Stone Age! Finding out about Stone Age animals, questioning artefacts left behind and comparing our ancestors to ourselves.

Remember school finishes at 1pm Friday and you must still come to school in the morning!

Because we worked extremely hard, we deserved to have a party. We danced, had a go at doing the worm, had our favourite snacks and wore our party clothes!

Our AMAZING Skara Brae houses!

Sometimes we get to be the teacher...

Every Monday for guided reading we learn new words from our book and practise using a dictionary. This is us acting the word ‘dismay’

Although we can’t sing at school at the moment, we love spending our assembly times learning makaton through singing

Performing our animal poems
