Friday 19th June
Good morning 3/4K, today is fantastic Friday!
I hope you enjoy your learning today. It was great speaking with so many of you on the phone yesterday and to hear that you are all well and working hard. Some of you gave me messages to pass on to your school friends and I will do this in our 'Shout Out' this weekend. Send an email if you still have a message to pass on.

Today we are learning to identify vertical, horizontal, perpendicular and parallel lines. Read these reminders to check your understanding.
Now try these practice sheets
Now check your answers. Can you explain to a grown up what these words mean? horizontal, vertical, perpendicular, parallel
English: I didn't know I'd miss...
You have been working from home for quite a long time now. What are the things that you have missed from being at school? Some of them might surprise you. Write a list poem about the things that you didn't know you would miss about school.
This is an example written by a girl called Tina who lives in Salford, near Manchester. She has been missing lots of things about school.
Now write your own list poem.
Make a short list of things that you have missed. Make them real things that matter to you and you look forwards to going back to. Then take each one in turn and add to the idea so that reader understands what you are missing.
Start each line with I didn't know I'd miss...
I look forward to reading your poems.
I didn't know I'd miss...
I didn't know I'd miss.
