Letter from Mrs Larkins
Parents and pupils of 1L,
Everyone at Handford Hall is incredibly sad that we have had to close for most of you. We are going to miss you very much.
I will be updating this web page every weekday with a Literacy activity, a Maths activity, and a Topic activity in line with the Year 1 curriculum to keep you busy. Some of the activities will be online, some activities will be from the learning packs I have sent home with you all, and some you can use resources around your home to complete. Spellings to practise will be set every Monday.
Parents, I know this is going to be a tricky time for you all. These activities are being set to help keep your children learning whilst schools are closed and to give your days at home some structure if you would like. I want to reassure you that you are not expected to give your children a full time education at home. These are unprecedented times and things will be very different for a while. Do what you can and don’t worry if you can’t do it all. The most important thing during this difficult time is that we all look after each other and stay safe and healthy.
I look forward to catching up with you all again when things are back to normal!
Best wishes,
Mrs Larkins
P.S. Don’t forget to wash your hands!
