Monday

L.O: To add and subtract numbers to 20.

Over the next two days, we are going to be refreshing our knowledge of addition and subtraction.

What does ‘+’ mean? What words can you think of to explain what this means? (add, plus, altogether, more, sum, total)

What does ‘-‘ mean? What words can you think of to explain what this means? (take away, subtract, minus, leave, less, difference between)

Circles Group:

Turn to page 2 in your Addition and Subtraction maths booklet. Solve the number problems on the monkeys. Then join each monkey up to its banana. Use a numbered line to help you if you can. Perhaps you can create one at home with your adult? Remember to start with the biggest number!

Triangles and Squares:

Turn to pages 2 and 3 in your Addition and Subtraction maths booklet. Solve the number problems on the monkeys. Then join each monkey up to its banana. Use a numbered line to help you if you can. Perhaps you can create one at home with your adult? Remember to start with the biggest number!

Pentagons:

Turn to pages 2, 3 and 4 in your Addition and Subtraction maths booklet. Solve the number problems on the monkeys. Then join each monkey up to its banana. Use a numbered line to help you if you can. Perhaps you can create one at home with your adult? Remember to start with the biggest number!

Tuesday

L.O: To add and subtract numbers to 20.

I have set you three pieces of work to do on Education City. You will only be able to access the challenges if you get at least 80% on each activity. They get harder each time – good luck!

I shall be checking to see who has done it!

Wednesday

L.O: To know the value of numbers to 100.

Remember when we used Dienes to match to numbers to 100? Refresh your memory with this basketball game of top marks. Remember the sticks show the 10s and the cubes show the ones.

Set your challenge and get started!

Thursday

L.O: To know the value of numbers to 100.

I hope you got lots of practice in yesterday. I have set you some classwork on Education City. Count the squares and click on the numbers to write the number that it shows. Good luck!

I shall be checking to see who has done it!

Friday (Fluency Practice)

L.O: To develop fluency of number bonds to 10.

Circles and Triangles Group: Practice your number bonds to 10.

Squares and Pentagons: Practice your number bonds to 20.

How many can you get right in 1 minute? Can you challenge yourself further? Good Luck!
