Turn to page 2 in your maths fractions booklet. Can you show half in different ways?

Challenge: Work through page 4 in your maths fractions booklet. Can you find half of these amounts? Can you start to find a quarter?

Today we are going to be looking at quarters. Do you know what a quarter is? How can we explain it best? When you put something into quarters how many pieces are there? Are they the same size or a different size? Can you tell your adult?

Work through page 5 in your maths fractions booklet. Can you show ¼ in all these different ways?

Complete pages 5 and 7 in your fractions booklet. Use objects around the house to help you if you need to.

To be able to find quarter of an amount.

I have set you some work on Education City. Halve the number of objects then move on the quartering challenge. I shall be checking to see who has done it!
