Multiplication Challenge

Every day this week, draw the grid in your book.  Time how long it takes you to complete it and record your time.  By the end of the week, how quickly can you complete the grid?  If there are any multiplication facts you struggle with, focus on them to ensure you build up your instant recall.  Good luck - let me know your best time!

Solving Worded Problems

Over today and tomorrow, solve at least 5 problems a day.  Which Chilli Challenge will you choose?  Mix and match if you want to warm-up first and have a go at stretching yourself too!

Remember, tackle time problems on number line thinking.

Hint:  think fractions too!

Choose your Chilli Challenge - 1,2,3

                      English

This week's English theme is Wonderful Wizards!

For thousands of years, humans all over the world have tried to discover the power of wizards. There are many stories about what we do, where we live and the spells we cast. I’m here to introduce you to the world of wizardry and to inspire you to write about wonderful wizards! Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a young wizard? What if you found out you actually were one? Let’s imagine you are! What would you look like? What would you wear? What special powers would you have?

Use this template to make your own Top Trump wizard cards. I would suggest making at least 6 different cards so you can play with your family

If you are not sure how to play top trumps click on this link http://www.toptrumps.com/how-to-play-top-trumps/

Night and Day

Why do we have night and day?

Write an explanation to show your understanding.  You may want to make a model, or a poster to support your understanding; you will definitely need diagrams to help your explanation.  Keep your writing clear and concise.

Have fun!
