L.O: To add multiples of 10 to a 2-digit number.

Today we are going to move on to adding multiples of 10 to a 2-digit number. That means that we are going to be adding 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and more to 2 digit numbers! Woah those are big numbers! What can we use to help us?

That’s right! A 100 square! So when we add 10 to a 2-digit number we ‘spider count’ down one jump. If we add 20, how many jumps will we need to make? 20. That’s right – 2 jumps. What about 30? 30. So 3 jumps! You get the idea. Let’s have a practice...
