Things you will need:

 

Some rocks! Try to collect rocks and stones when you are out walking or in the park. They don't have to big or fancy, just any bits of rock that you can find.

For testing the rocks: a stick, a sharp point such as a screw or nail (check with an adult to make sure it is safe for you to use), vinegar and water. If you have a medicine syringe this would be helpful and you might like to use a magnifying glass if you have one at home.

For the 'choc cycle': plain, milk and white chocolate bars, tin foil, a plate, a cheese grater, a heavy book or wooden board.

For the volcanic eruption: small plastic bottle, vinegar, baking soda (bicarbonate of soda), washing up liquid, warm water, a tray to catch spills (or do it in the sink!).
