Today you will be continuing to apply your Science learning about light to your artwork. Last week we learnt how to create shadows. Today you are going to learn about different shading techniques.
Watch the video below to learn about different shading techniques. Practise these and then have a go at creating your own piece of art using different shading techniques. Don't forget to send a picture of your artwork to the email account. We cannot wait to see what you produce.

First Task: Experiment with shading different shapes
Second Task: Find an object in the room that will allow you to practise your shading skills. Using a pencil, draw the object and shade it using the techniques you practise above (hatching, contour hatching, crosshatching, random hatching, stippling and ink wash). Try to make your picture look as 3D as possible.
