L.O: To subtract multiples of 10 from a 2-digit number.
Today we are going to move on to subtracting multiples of 10 from a 2-digit number. This means that we are going to be taking away 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and more from 2 digit numbers!
When we take 10 away from a 2-digit number, we ‘spider count’ up one jump. If we take away 20, how many jumps will we need to make? 20. That’s right – 2 jumps. What about 30? 30. So 3 jumps! You get the idea. Let’s have a practice...
