Wednesday 3rd June

Good morning 3/4K,

Today in our maths lesson we are looking at lines of symmetry. Do you remember watching the Karate Kid? I've added the clip here to help you. In English we are thinking about what the characters from the song, 'The King of Rome' might be saying. In our science today we are looking at nutrition and what function different food groups have. Have fun! Remember I have added more chapters of Charlotte's Web in our reading for pleasure folder.

*Calm-ME- Time*

Sometimes we all need help to relax and feel calm. Today I would like you to sit quietly with a member of your family and click on the folder with the butterfly and follow the instructions on the recording to enjoy a few moments of calm together. You can choose to do this at any time of the day.

Now copy and complete these in your books and check with a mirror if you can.

Science

Today we are looking at nutrition which is the study of food and how it works in your body. Nutrition includes all the stuff that's in your food, such as vitamins, protein, fat, and more. It's important to eat a variety of foods, including fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and grains, so you have what you need to grow and be healthy.

We will be learning about;

  • Whats foods make up a balanced, healthy plate.
  • How plants obtain food.
  • Which food groups  are on your dinner plate.

Can you match the food group with its function (what it does for our bodies)? Then create a balanced plate of food thinking about the different food groups.

Food goup answers. Tick and fix your food group matching sheet answers
