Autumn 2 Week 3

We had a zoom lesson with OneLife Suffolk. Laura and Abi helped us think about how much sugar there is in all our food and drink. We talked about foods we could choose with less sugar in. We could choose a yoghurt instead of a biscuit. We told Laura how many fruits and vegetables we eat. We should eat five fruits and vegetables every day! We hope our mums and dads will help us make sugar swaps to reduce the sugar we eat and to help us have lots of fruit and vegetables in our diet. We gave OneLife Suffolk a big thank you for reminding us how to keep healthy.

In maths we have had lots of practical experiences. We have sorted shapes using Venn Diagrams. We know the circles must over lap each other. We then sorted shapes using a Carroll diagram. We learnt to read the labels and work with our friends to sort the shapes. We are fabulous shape sorters. We loved these lessons.

In topic we have been thinking about significant events that are celebrated. We have looked this week at Remembrance Day and talked about why we remember. We have discussed why poppies are sold and how they help us to remember. We made poppies, using our cutting skills to create them. We have learnt a Remembrance song. We looked at different landmarks and talked bout where the War Memorial is in Ipswich.
