Monday to Thursday:

Now it is time to change the animal in the story! What animal would you like to write about? A lion? A spider? A rabbit? A monkey? Decide on your animal and practice retelling the story with your changed animal throughout the week.

Can your child answer questions about the sequence of the instructions? What happens first? Next? After That?

Can they have a go at writing some sentences from the story?

e.g. One day, in the deep blue sea, there was a beautiful _______________ with shiny ____________.
