Monday to Thursday:
Now it is time to change the type of transport in the story! What transport would you like to write about? A train? A boat? A car? An aeroplane? Decide on your type of transport and practice retelling the story with it throughout the week.
Can your child answer questions about the sequence of the instructions? What happens first? Next? After That?
Can they have a go at writing some sentences from the story?
e.g. Next, Mrs Armitage got a delicious basket of snacks for her ________________.
Friday:
